Do you have an expensive heating system or oil-fired water heater in your home? Would you like to replace it with a more efficient, less polluting system, such as a heat pump?

So now is the best time to take action.
With the emphasis on energy efficiency, our two governments and Hydro-Québec are offering you financial assistance under their respective grants to replace your fossil fuel systems with systems powered by electricity or other renewable energies.

Here are the 3 grants available:

1. Chauffez vert, from the Government of Québec, offers up to $1,275 ⁽¹⁾
2. Greener Homes, from the Government of Canada, offers up to $5,000. ⁽¹⁾
3. LogisVert, from Hydro-Québec, offers up to $27,000 and more, depending on the type and capacity of the heat pump to be installed. ^{(1) (2)} 

ELECTRIC THERMAL STORAGE :

Central heating with electric thermal storage is and ideal solution for customers that are looking to replace their fuel‑burning central heating system, or for those who want to have a new central heating system installed.

Used for many years, but little known in Quebec, electric thermal storage (ETS) is a smart and highly advantageous eco-energy solution, offering uncompromising savings and comfort.

Hydro-Québec's LogisVert offers two subsidies ⁽¹⁾:

• 15,000 for the installation of an electric thermal storage unit
• an extra $7,000 if you also have an efficient central heat pump installed along with your electric thermal storage unit. 

How does a electric thermal storage unit  work?
An electric thermal storage unit is a fuel-free central heating system that stores heat in a thermal mass of bricks. During peak periods, the unit is programmed to switch off the electrical elements, and the house is heated by the heat stored in the bricks.

GAS FURNACE + HEAT PUMP

ÉNERGIR OFFERS YOU DUAL-ENERGY:
AVAILABLE SUBSIDIES UP TO $9,000

If you heat or plan to heat with natural gas, Energir invites you to switch to DUAL-ENERGY: the tandem use of electricity and natural gas to heat buildings more efficiently.

It's a solution that allows you to smartly use the right energy source, at the right time and at the best cost.

In brief, subsidies are offered at two levels :
Energir, in partnership with the Ministère de l'énergie et des ressources naturelles (MERN) and with the participation of Hydro-Québec, offers financial assistance at two levels:

• a first amount for the addition of a heat pump to an existing gas furnace;
• and an additional amount for the addition of a new gas furnace.

Subsidy amounts by type of residence ⁽¹⁾ :

• Single-family home: up to $5,800
• Duplex: up to $8,100
• Triplex: up to $9,000
